     Francis Porter

    Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he should
take Francis Porter if he should be found in his bailywick and him should
                      safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County
Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the Same County the third Tuesday of June Ann
Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Eight to Satisfie Richard Gildart Esq.r of Four
thousand six hundred and twenty and three pounds of tobacco which Sume the said Francis Porter
Joseph Macclester and Littleton Townsend before Robert King and John Scott Gentlemen two of his
Lordships Justices of the peace to keep assigned did on the twenty ninth day of July Anno Dom
One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Seven Confess Judgment to the afd Richard Gildart Esq.r
with Twenty two pounds of tobacco additionall Costs according to act of assembly in such Case made
and provided  whereof he is Convict &.a and the same day is given to the afd Richd thereof &a

Att which day Came here as well the af.d Richard Gildart in his proper person as
the af.d Francis Porter in his proper person and the said Francis being by the
sherriffe Ledd to the Barr by vertue of the writt af.d to him thereof directed and being
by the Court here asked if he was the verrif very same Francis the same person which
the af.d Richard of the tobacco af.d was Convicted or not sho says that he is  Therefore
the same Francis Porter is Committed to the prison of the sherriffe of the
County af.d thereto Remain in safe Custody untill the same Richard of the
tobacco af.d should be fully satisfied and paid &.a

Littleton Townsend

Townsend if he Should be found in his bailywick and him should safe keep
so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to
be held at deviding Creek in the same County the third tuesday of June Anno Dom
one thousand seven hundred and thirty eight to satisfie Richard Gildart Esq.r
of four thousand six hundred twenty and three pounds of tobacco which sum
the said Littleton Townsend Joseph Macclester and Francis Porter
                                                                                                 before
