(to witt) the same day and year above mentioned at Somerset County
af.d and often since that time by the same Henry Reynolds was requested
but the same to him hitherto to pay or for the same in any sort
to Content hath altogether refused and still doth refuse wherefore
the same Henry Reynolds saith that he is the worse and damage
to the value of tenn pounds Currt money of the province of Maryland
and thereupon he brings suit &.a

    And the aforesaid William Porter by George Douglas his attorney Cometh
and defended the force and Injury when &.a and prayeth Leave thereof to Imparle
hereuntill the next Court to be held at dividing Creek in and for the County afd
the third Tuesday of March then next following and he hath it and the same
day is given to the afd Henry here also &a

    Att which day here Came againe as well Henry Reynolds as the afd
William Porter by their attorneys afd and whereupon the same William
Porter prayeth ^further^ Leave thereof to Imparle hereuntill the next Court and he
to be held at dividing Creek in and for the County afd the third Tuesday of
June then next following and he hath it and same day is given to the afd
Henry here also &a

the said William as before defends the force and Injury when &a and says
that he did not assume upon himselfe in manner and form as the said
Henry Reynolds above against him hath Complained and of this he puts
himselfe upon the Country      Whereupon the said William Porter relinquisheth
his verifycation afd by him above pretended and saith that he Cannot deny
the action of afd of the afd Henry Reynolds nor but that he did assume upon
himselfe in manner and form as the afd Henry above against him hath Complained
and as to the damage of the Same Henry by him by occasion of the premisses
