before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing
Creek in the County afd the third Tuesday of August Ann Dom One thousand
Seven hundred and thirty Seven to answer unto Henry Reynolds in a plea
of trespass upon the Case &.a and the same day is given to the afd Henry here &a

    Att which day here Came the afd Henry Reynolds by Robt Jenckins Henry his
attorney and the Sheriffe of Somerset County to witt John Henry Gentleman at
the Same day here returned that he had taken the afd William Porter whose
body here at this day he had ready to answer the afd Henry Reynolds of the afd
plea as to him it was Commanded   Whereupon at the prayer of the afd
Henry Reynolds the afd William Porter is by the Court here adjudged to give
Speciall Bail to the action afd
                                                 Thereupon the said William Porter present
herein Court in his proper person assumed upon himselfe (Likewise a Certain
William Turpin of Somerset County Gent present herein Court in his proper person
assumed upon himself and undertook for the Same William Porter) that if it
should happen that Judgment in the plea afd should be rendered for the same
Henry against him the Same William or that the Same William Should be therein
Convict that then he the said William should pay and Satisfie unto the same
Henry the Judgment of the Court thereupon or render his body in Execution of such
Judgment to the prison of the Sheriffe of the County afd thereto remaine untill
the Same Judgment should be fully satisfied or that he the Same William
Turpin will do the Same for him      And hereupon the said William Porter puts
in his place and Stead George Douglas Gent attorney at Law against the afd Henry
in the plea afd      Whereupon at the request of the parties afd day is given to
them now here before his Lordships Justices at dividing Creek untill the third
Tuesday of November then next following in the Same State at present saving
to the parties afd &a      Att which day here Came againe the Parties afd by their attorneys
afd and here upon the said Henry Reynolds declared against the said William Porter
