thereunto requested but the same to him hitherto to pay hath altogether refused
and still doth refuse to the damage of him the said Richard tenn pounds Currt money
of maryland and thereupon ^he^ brings suit &.a   Pledges &.a J Doe & R Roe

And the af.d Charles Ramsey in his proper person Comes and defends the force
and Injury when &.a and saith that he Cannot deny the action af.d of the af.d James
Richard Brooks nor but that he did assume upon himself in manner and form as
the af.d Richard Brooks above against him hath Complained and as to the damage
of the same Richard Brooks by him by occasion of the premisses in that part sustained
the same Charles Ramsey saith and acknowledgeth that the af.d Richard Brooks
hath sustained damages by occasion of the premisses beyond his Costs and Charges by
him about his suit in that part apposed to five pounds tenn shillings and thirteen
shillings and eleven pence Currt money and not more and because the af.d Richard Brooks
denys not this but the same allegations beleives to be true prays Judgment for those
damages above acknowledged together with his Costs and Charges af.d to him to
be adjudged &.a
                                        Therefore by Consent of the parties af.d it is Considered
that the af.d Richard Brooks recover against the af.d Charles Ramsey his
damages af.d to the af.d five pounds thirteen shillings ^and Eleven pence^ Currt money in form af.d
239    acknowledged as also
pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges af.d to the same Richard Brooks
at his request by the COurt now here of the assent of the parties af.d adjudged
which Certain damages in the whole amounts to five pounds thirteen shillings
^and Eleven pence^ Currt money and
pounds of tobacco with stay of execution untill the fifteenth day of April then
next following and the af.d deft in Mercy &a

that he should take John Evans Late of Somerset County planter
                            if he should be found in his Bailywick and him should Safe keep so
that he might have his body before Our Justices of Our County Court of Somerset to
be held at Dividing Creek in the Same County the third Tuesday of March anno Dom
