And the aforesaid Thomas Watkins by George Douglas his attorney Cometh & defendeth
the force and Injury when &.a and saith that he Cannot deny the action af.d of the af.d
Henry Trippe nor but that the writing obligatory af.d is the deed of the same
Thomas nor but that he oweth the same Henry the af.d eight thousand six
hundred and eighty two pounds of tobacco in manner and form as the af.d Henry
above against him declared &.a
                                                       Therefore it is Considered that the af.d
Henry Trippe recover against the af.d Thomas Watkins his debt af.d and his
damages by occasion of the detaining the same debt to three hundred and fifty six
                                             pounds of tobacco to the same Henry of his assent
by the Court here adjudged and the af.d Thomas in mercy &.a         And afterwards
to witt the twenty first day of March Ann Dom One thousand Seven
hundred and thirty Seven Cometh hereinto Court the afd Thomas Watkins in his
proper person  and Whereupon the same Thomas Watkins being asked if he
was the Same person against whom the above Judgm.t was recovered acknowledged
he was  Thereupon the Same Thomas Watkins is Committed to the prison of
the Sheriffe of the County afd to be by the same sheriffe safely keep there to remaine
untill the afd Henry of his debt and damages ^afd^ Should be fully Satisfied &a

Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset
County that he should take James Breman late of Somerset
County planter if he should be found in his bailywick and
him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court of Somerset to be held at deviding Creek in the same County the third
tuesday of March Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven to
answer unto James Waughop of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a

    Att which day here before his Lordship Justices at a Court then held at deviding Creek
Came the af.d James Waughop by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney and the
af.d sherriffe to witt John Henry Gent now here returned that he had taken the
af.d James Breeman whose body hereat this day he had ready to answer the af.d
James Waughop of the af.d plea as to him it was Commanded            and hereupon
