1737 191 The petition aforesaid being read and fully understood Wherefore it is Considered that a Commission Issue to the aforesaid David Wallis as by the petition afd is praid and that Alexander Lackie Day Scott Charles Dashiell and George Dashiell Jun.r of Somerset County Gent be Commissioners and Execute the Same Commission according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &a
him Granted &a thereupon the said James Owens present here in Court as afd makes Choce of the said William Owens as his Guardian Whereupon the said William Owens is ordered by the Court here to take into his Care and Tuition the afd James Owens and all his Estate both real and personall ^and that a Certain Emanuel Manlove deliver the same Estate to the afd Guardian &.a^ and Likewise that he give good Security for to Comply with the Guardian Ship afd &a Thereupon the said William Owens with James Strawbridge and George Benston both of Somerset County planters his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said James Owens in the Sum of One hundred pounds Curr.t money of Maryland of their body's Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the said James Owens his heirs Executors administrators or assigns to be made & Levied If it happen that the said William Owen doe not Comply with the Law in relation to the Guardian ship afd and doe not deliver up unto the said James Owens his heirs Executors administrators or assignes all his estate both real and personall (that he shall take into his hands and possession) peaceably and quietly when ever the Same Should be Legally required &a York a negro Boy of Robert Richardson being present here in Court is adjudged by the Same Court to be now of the age of Twenty years &a |
