165 Alexander says he is the worse sixty pounds Currt money of maryland and thereof he brings suit &a Pledges &a J: Doe & R Roe And the af.d William Gray by William Beckingham his attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &.a And saith ^that^ he Cannot deny the action af.d of the af.d Alexander Buncle nor but that the writing obligatory af.d is the deed of the same William Gray nor but that he oweth the same Alexander the af.d sum of fifty five pounds eight shillings and six pence Currt money of maryland in manner and form as the af.d Alexander above against him declared &a Therefore it is Considered that the af.d Alexander Buncle recover against the af.d William Gray his debt af.d and his damages by occasion of 254 the detaining the same debt to: Two hundred and Seventy Six pounds of tobacco to the same Alexander of his assent by the Court here adjudged and the af.d William in mercy &a
of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at deviding Creek in the same County the third tuesday of November Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty six to answer unto Robert Bolton of a plea that he render unto him three pounds one shilling and three pence Currt money of maryland and two hundred and forty pounds of tobacco which to him he oweth and unjustly detaineth &.a Att which day here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at deviding Creek Came the af.d Robert Bolton by his attorney af.d and the sherriffe to witt John Henry Gent at the same day here returned that he had taken the af.d Wrixham Crapper whose body hereat this day he had ready to answer the af.d Robert Bolton of the af.d plea as to him it was Commanded Whereupon Came here into Court a Certain Thomas Pointer of Somerset County planter and undertook |
