should be therein Convicted that then the said John should pay and satisfie unto the said
James the Judgment of the Court thereupon or render his body in execution of such
Judgment to the person of the sheriffe of the County af.d thereto remain untill the same
Judgment be fully satisfyed or that he the same Archibald Stett will do the same
for him &.a         Whereupon the said John Goldsmith by William Beckingham his attorney
Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &a and saith that he Cannot deny the action
afd of the afd James nor Can he Say but that the writing Obligatory afd is the deed of the
said John nor but that he Oweth the same James the afd Twenty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland
in manner and form as the afd James above against him declared

       Therefore it is Considered that the afd James Anderson recover against
the afd John Goldsmith his debt afd and his damages by occasion of the detention of the
751   same debt to Seven hundred and fifty three                      pounds of tobacco to the
731   Same James of his assent by the Court here adjudged with Stay of Execution untill the twenty
753   fifth day of December then next following and the afd deft in Mercy &a

Command was given to the sherriffe of Somerset County
that he should take Richard Knight Late of Somerset County
planter otherwise Called Richard Knight of Somerset County in
the said province of maryland planter if he should be found in his bailywick and
him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at deviding Creek in the same County
the third tuesday of November Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and
thirty seven to answer unto James Anderson of a plea that he render unto him
twenty pounds Curr.t money of maryland which to him he oweth and unjustly detaineth &a
and that thereof he should not fail &.a      And hereupon the said James Anderson by
Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney declaired against the said af.d Richard Knight in
the plea af.d in form following viz.t      Somerset County ss.t      Richard Knight late
of Somerset County planter otherwise Richard Knight
of the County and province af.d planter was summoned to answer unto James Anderson
of a plea that he render unto him twenty pounds Curr.t money of maryland which to
