1737 146 afd Thomas Lambden &.a Afterwards to witt the Same day before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at dividing Creek Came the said Sheriffe and returned that he had Sumoned the aforesaid John Burke Jun.r as afd he was Commanded &a Whereupon Came here into Court before the afd Justices as well the afd Thomas Lambden by William Beckingham his attorney as the afd John Burke Jun by George Douglas his attorney and the petition afd being read and heard and the severall allegations as well on the part of the said Thomas Lambden as on the part of said John Burke Junr and what the Severall Wittnesses declared upon Oath in relation to the premisses afd all which matters being duely and maturally Considered and it being made appear to the Satisfaction of the Court here that the afd John Burke Jun.r was abused and misused when he Lived with the afd Thomas Lambden as a Servant &.a Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Thomas Lambden take nothing by his petition afd and that the said John Burke Jun.r goe thereof without day &.a
humbly prays that your worships would sett him tax free and as In duty bound shall ever The petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood therefore It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d Catherine Donnelson be discharged from paying of taxes for the af.d negro Cudjoe as by the petition af.d is praid &.a
