County Court and their Successors to be made and Levied  If it happen that the said Benj.a
Melson his heirs executors and administrators or any of them do and shall not from time
to time and at all times hereafter acquit and save harmless as well the Justices
of the County af.d and their successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the
said County of and from all Costs Charges troubles and Incumbrances whatsoever for or
by reason of the birth maintaince nourishing and bringing up the af.d Child Lat^e^ly begott
on the body of the af.d Mary Gloster and of and from all other suits Charges troubles
and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the same &.a

       Likewise the said Benj.a Melson is ordered to give security for payment of the
severall officers fees due on the Indictment af.d  Whereupon the said Benjamin
Melson and James Longo both present here in Court as afd Acknowledged themselves Indebted
unto the Severall Officers of Somerset County Court that had a right to any fee or fees on
the Indictment afd in One thousand pounds of tobacco each of their Severall bodys goods or
Chattells Lands or tenements to be made and Levied to the Use of the Severall Officer or Officers
as afd  In case the said Benjamin Melson his heirs Executors or administrators do not
pay and Satisfie unto the severall officers in the County af.d their Just and right full fee
or fees on the Indictment af.d &.a

Memorand.m at a session of the peace of his Lordship the Right
Honrble the Lord Proprietary of the province of Maryland held
at Dividing Creek in Somerset County on the third Tuesday of June to witt
the twenty first day of the same month Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred
and thirty seven before Robert King Gentleman and others his associates Justices
of his the said Lord proprietary the peace in the County af.d to Conserve and also
divers felonys trespasses and other Malefesances in the same County Committed to
hear and determine assigned by the oath of W.m Holland and twelve others being
presented that James Kane late of Somerset parish in the County af.d Laborour
the first day of March Anno Dom seventeen hundred thirty and six at the parish
af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court did commit fornication
