129 ordinary or house of entertainment &.c Likewise the said Heber Whittingham with George Benston and Richard Knight his securitys af.d all prent present herein Court in their proper persons as af.d acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of forty pounds Curr.t money of maryland of their goods and Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and severally to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied if it happen that the said Heber Whittingham do not keep good rules and orders and do suffer Idle loose and disorderly persons to tipple game or Committ disorders or other Irregularities in his ordinary or house of entertainment dureing the time that he shall keep the same Contrary to the true intent and meaning of the act of assembly in such case made and provided &c
af.d for the use and Conveniency of the Inhabitants Travellars and Strangers as to them Respectively shall seem mete which is by the Court hereunto him granted he giving security according to act of assembly in such case made and provided &c Whereupon the said Patrick Ellison with Patrick Stewart both of the County af.d planters his security all present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary of the province of maryland in the sum of five pounds Curr.t money of their goods and Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and severally to be made and Levied to the use of his said Lordship his heirs heirs and Successors if it happen that the said Patrick Ellison do and shall not pay unto his Lordship fifty shillings Curr.t money of maryland for every year he shall keep such ordinary or house of entertainment &.c Likewise the said Heber Patrick Ellison with Patrick Stewart his security af.d ^both^ able present herein Court in their proper persons as af.d acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of forty pounds Curr.t money of maryland of their goods and Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and severally to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors to be made and Levied if it happen that the said Patrick Ellison do not keep good rules and orders and do suffer Idle loose and disorderly persons to tipple |
