body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of November Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty six to answer unto Thomas Adams of a plea wherefore he the same Thomas Blizard with force and arms in and upon the af.d Thomas Adams at Somerset County af.d in the peace of God and of the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is an assault did make and him the said Thomas Adams did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his life it was greatly despaired and other harms to him did to the great damage of the same Thomas Adams and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary &.c and that thereof he should not fail &.c Att which day here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at dividing Creek Came the said Thomas Adams by William Goldsborough his attorney and the sheriff to wit Joseph MccClester Gen.t at the same day here returned that he had taken the af.d Thomas Blizard whose body hereat this day he had ready to answer unto the af.d Thomas Adams of the plea ^afd^ as to him it was Commanded And hereupon the af.d Thomas Adams declared against the af.d Thomas Blizard in the plea af.d in form following Somerset County ss.t Thomas Blizard late of Somerset County planter was attached to answer unto Thomas Adams of a plea wherefore ^he^ the same Thomas Blizard with force and Arms in and upon the af.d Thomas Adams at Somerset County ^afd^ in the peace of God and of the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is an assault did make and him the said Thomas Adams did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his life it was greatly despaired and other harm to him did to the great damage of the same Thomas Adams and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary &c And Whereupon the same Thomas Adams by William Goldsborough his attorney complaineth that the af.d Thomas Blizard by on the second day of August in the year of our Lord God seventeen hundred thirty and five with force and arms to wit with sticks Clubs and fists at Somerset Somerset County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon him the same Thomas Adams in the peace of God and of the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is an assault did make and him the same Thomas Adams then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his life it was greatly despaired and other harms |
