108 Dormon Donoho aged fifty Years or thereabout Being first duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God by us the said Commisioners Deposeth and saith that when he was a Boy he used to Cart along a Road that is now in his View and that his father being with him upon the said Road told him this Deponant that the Beginning Tree of the Tract of Land Belonging to Mr Edm.d Dickerson stood between the said Road and the Little swamp that makes out of a Branch that is now in the midle of Cornelius Dickersons plantation and further this Deponant saith that some time after he hapned along or near the place and what his father had told him Came in his Mind which Caused him to loock for the said Tree and that upon loocking he found a Tree marked near about the place his father had told him of and that by what he had heard his father say he verily Believed the same to be the said first Bounder which is the Tree that his hand is now laid on which tree is now Dead but standing and further saith not Dormon Donoho Saul Townsend Aged Twenty Three Years or thereabouts Being first Duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God by us the said Commissioners deposeth and saith that M.r Edmond Dickerson told him that near to the place where he now stands being by the side of a Small Branch or Gully stood the Bounder of his Land and that the said Dickerson told him that his this Deponants father marked or saw the said Bounder marked and that the said Dickerson Desired this deponant to ask his this deponants father what he knew of the said Bounder and this Deponant further saith that he did ask his fater^ther^ about it and also told his father what mr Dickerson had told him and that his father mad answer and said Mr Dickerson was Right in what he had said and that he did Either mark or see the said Bounder Marked but which this deponant Cant say and that his this Deponants father told him that he the same Bounder was near to a gully or branch and that by what his father told him he believes this Tree now in his view to be the same Bounder and further saith not Saul Townsend Charles Townsend Sen.r aged sixty years or thereabouts Being sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God by us the said Commissioners deposeth and saith that about Thirty Years agoe he was in Company with some person near to this place and that the person shewed him a marked Tree and told him it was M.r Edm.d Dickersons first Bounder and that the first Course Ran north west from the said Bounder but who the person was he Cant tell and this Deponant saith that he verily blieves the tree now in his view to be the Tree that he then saw which is the same tree that the former Wittnesses Deposed to and further this deponant saith not Charles Townsend Edmond Dickerson Sen.r aged seventy six years or thereabouts Being first Duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God by us the said Commissioners Deposeth and saith that about fifty year ago or thereabouts he this deponant bought the Land Called Limbrick of Tho.s Quillen and ^that^ the said Quillen went to the Tree which is now in his view with this Deponant and told this deponant that that the Tree was the first Bounder of said Land at which this Deponant saith the said Quillen did Cut up a turff |
