Norway Negro Certificate                                    19


             State of Maryland Talbot County to wit:
                                   I hereby Certify all persons whom it doth
             or may concern that Caleb [illegible] of the County & state
             afs.d came & proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
             hereof a mulatto Woman who calls hers ^named^ Rhoda
             and who is now about 37 years of age five feet one
             inch & a quarter of an inch high has a small scar
             from the kine pock on her right arm is the identical
             person named manumitted ^set free^ by Rigby Hopkins on the
             2.d day of June 1812 and that she was raised in the
             County afs.d
                                       In Testimony & this 3.d of June 1812

State of Maryland Talbot County to wit
             I hereby Certify all persons whom it doth or may concern
             that Rachel Parrott came and proved to my satisfaction
             that the Bearer hereof Negro ^Woman^ Catharine about forty five
             years of age five feet three inches high Black has
             lost her upper fore teeth was raised in the County
             and was manumitted by her the said Rachel Parrott


            
             State of Maryland
             Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify that M.r Thomas Jones
of the County & State afs.d came & proved
             to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a Mulatto Man
             who calls himself Frisby Ridout (who is now about 22 years
             of age five feet 8¼ inches high has no remarkable
             scars) was born free & raised in the County afs.d
                                       In Testimony &.c this 14.th day of Sepr
