Talbot County wit
I hereby Certify all persons
whom it doth or may concern that Thomas
Esgate came & proved to my satisfaction that
the bearer hereof   Black woman named
Ann about five feet 4¾ Inches high with
with large flesh mark on her right cheek
is the Identical person named Ann by him
& others this book & 13 Jun 1809


    State of Maryland Talbot County to wit
                I hereby certify that William B Smith came &
proved to my satisfaction that the beaer hereof a
black man who calls himself William Bolen
about six feet and an half inch high of a bright
complexion with a large scar over his left eye  also
one other large scar on the joint of his left great toe
and about thirty four years of age is the identical
person nam'd in the a manumission from W.m
Hindman to sundry negroes which is duly acknowledged
and recorded among the Land record Books
of the county aforesaid         In Testimony &.c  this 17.th
day of Aug.t 1819            J Loockerman L
