Talbot County to wit
I hereby certify all persons whom
it doth or may Concern that Edward Martin of Talbot
County aforesaid came and proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof a Dark Molatto man who Calls himself Isaac
Sherwood five feet eight Inches and one quarter of an inch
high with some scars on his third finger of the left hand a small
scar on the upper lip about twenty four years of age was
manumitted by Nicholas Martin dec.d the father of the
said Edward Martin
    (Seal)         In Testimony &c this 20.th day of
                      Dec.r 1814

Came and proved to my satisfaction that
the bearer hereof a black man named Dan.l
Bridge 5 6½ high with no Scars about thirty
five years of age was manumitted by Elizabeth
Dickinson of the county afs.d
