54 State of Maryland Talbot County To wit I hereby certify that Joseph Esgate of the County and State aforesaid came and proved to my Satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself Joseph of a dark complexion five feet ten inches and an half high with a small scar between his eye-brows and aged now twenty ^one^ two years is the Identical person named in a Manumissioned from Mary Esgate and others to sundry negroes legally executed & Recorded in one of the Land record Books of the County & state aforesaid In Testimony whereof &.a I have &.c this 27.th of June 1809 JLoockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot County To wit: I hereby certify that Loftis Bowdle of said County & State came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself Jacob and who is now about Fifty years of age five feet eight and an half inches high dark complexion considerably Pock broken is the Identical person named in a Manumission from Polly Trippe to be free on the Twenty second day of March AD Seventeen Hundred and Ninety one and that the said Jacob was raised in the County & State afd where the said Man was recorded In Testimony &.c this 3.d of April 1810 JLoockerman Cl
that the bearer hereof Eleanor Johnson about 30 y.rs age five feet 6 Inches [illegible] was raised in the County af.d is the Identical person Manumitted by Mr Hindman Esq.r 13 Jn 1806 In Te.s & 8 May 1810 |
