State of Maryland
Talbot County to wit
I hereby Certify that Thomas
Barnett a respectable Citizen of the county and state
aforesaid came and proved to my satisfaction that
the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself
Harry Bantom about 22 years of age 5 feet 9 inches &
one half high complection dark coffee   a scar on
the underneath part of his right Jaw Bone  was
Born free and raised in the county & state aforesaid
                         In Testimony &c   this 20 March
                         1810

       State of Maryland Talbot County to wit

                     I hereby certify that M.rs Limintion
Hopkins of the county and state aforesaid came
and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof a black woman who calls herself Lucy
Hopkins and who is now about Twenty one years
of age five feet three inches and a quarter of an
inch high one large scar on her left elbow
one small ditto on her left eye brow and
Dark Complexion was born free and that she
was raised in the County and State aforesaid

                In Testimony whereof &c this 30th
             day of July 1811
