proved to my Satisfaction that the bearer hereof a very dark mulatto or brown Girl about seventeen yeas of age five feet one & three quarter inches high with no mark or scar & the name of Hame H Roberts was born of a free woman and raised in the County afd 18 May 1815 Swears she lost the papers Int Oct &c 25 Aug.t 1809 State of Maryland Talbot County To wit I hereby certify that Charles Blake of the County & State afsd came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself Henry Thomas and who is about thirty eight years of age five feet ten inches high without any notable scars is the identical negro man named in a manumission from William Blake to him the said Henry which is duly executed and enrolled among the land records of Talbot County afsd also that the said Henry was raised in Said County In Testimony &.c this 3.d of Jan,y 1810 JLoockerman Cl |
