38 State of Maryland Talbot County Towit I hereby certify thats all whom it do or may concern that Jam.s Troth of the County & state afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto man who calls himself Hobb Gannon now between twenty & twenty one years of age about five feet nine inches & an eith eighth of an inch high with a small scar on the upper part of his forehead is a free born mulatto man and that the s.d Hobb Gannon was raised in the County & state aforesaid In Testimony &.a this 1st Nov.r 1809 JLoockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot County to wit I hereby certify that M.r William Wilson of the County & state afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black woman who calls herself Grace and who is now about Twenty Six years of age four feet ten inches and three quarters of an inch high two small scars about the corner of her left eye dark complexion is the identical person named in a Mann made by the said William Wilson to be free when she should arrive to the age of eighteen years which said Man was duly executed and recorded among the Land records of The County & state afs.d whom the said Grace was raised In Testimony &c this 30.th July 1811 JLoockerman Cl |
