State of Maryland Talbot County to wit:
                         I hereby Certify that Tench Tilghman
Esquire of the County & State afs.d came
and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof the a Mulatto man named
Isaac who is now about 34 years of
age 5 feet 7⅛ feet inches high has no notable
marks or scars except a scar small
scar in His forehead is the identical
person man & set free by M.rs Rachel L
Thomas of the Coty & State afs.d on the 16
day of Aug.t 1811   In Testimony &.c this
       (Seal)            16 Aug.t 1815

{the above Certificate this 2.d Sep 1815}


State of Maryland  Talbot County to wit:
             I hereby certify that M.r Terrence
Connelly of the County & State afs.d came
& proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof a dark mulatto man who calls
himself Tho.s Holmes & who is now about 23
years of age 5 feet 9¾ inches high has a
large scar on His left jaw one other scar
on the little finger of his left hand one
other scar on the second ^third^ finger of the same
hand one other scar partly on the first joint
of his right thumb & two small scars in
his left eye brow) was born free & raised in
the County afs.d
                            In Testimony whereof &c
    (seal)               this 29 day of Aug.t 1815
