144 Talbot County to wit I hereby certify all persons whom it doth or may concern that Henry Hollyday of the County & State af.d and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof Negro Ruth of a light brown complexion about 25 years of age five feet 2 Inches high has noteable Scars on her left right arm and also a small scar on the right corner of her right Eye is the Identical person manumitted by Sarah Hollyday in the year 1803 To be free in the year 1807 and was raised in the County af.d In Testimony &c April 12 1808
Satisfaction that the bearer hereof Negro Thomas ^Freeman^ Six feet ½ an Inch high of a yellowish Complexion has a scar on his forehead and one scar near the left side of his nose was rai was free born & was raised in the County af.d In Testimony &c April 15 1808 Talbot County to wit I hereby Certify all persons whom it doth or may concern that Thomas Esgate of the County & State afs.d came & proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof Negro Hannah ^about 30 y.s of age^ a dark brown complexion 4 feet ¼ Inch high has an uncommon Nail on her fore finger of her right hand and several small scars on her left wrist Is the Identical person manumitted by Denny Hopkins on the 8 March 1781 to be free [illegible] 1796 In Testimony &c April 19 1808 |
