Talbot County to wit
I hereby Certify all persons whom it doth
or may concern that Nicholas Valliant of the County af.d came
and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a very
dark Mullatto Woman named Nancy 4 feet 11 inches & ¾ of an
inch high about nineteen years of age was born free and
raised in the county af.d    In witness whereof &.a this
                                     21.st day of Oct 1809

Talbot County to wit
I hereby certify all persons
whom it doth or may concern that Edward
Price of Talbot County Came and proved to my
Satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black
man by the name of William Turner five
feet four inches and three Quarters of an inch
high his upper fore teeth wide apart with a
scar on his Left big toe about 14 years of age
was raised in the county afsd is the son
of Ann Turner a woman born free   In witness
&.c   this 18.th day of July 1810

The State of Maryland Talbot County to wit:
                      I hereby Certify all persons whom it doth
    or may concern that M.r Samuel Troth of the
    County and State afsd came and proved to my satisfaction
    that the bearer hereof (a black man
    named Stephen who is now about 55 years of age
    5 feet 5½ inches high his head nearly bald has
    no other notable marks) is the Identical person
    manumitted by Elizabeth Troth on the 12.th of the
    8.th Mo (August) 1785 the said Stephen to be free
    from the day of the date of the manumission afsd
       (Seal)      In Testimony &.c this 20.th of Oct 1812
