satisfaction that the bearer hereof Negro simon wisher of a very dark brown complection 5 feet 2½ inches high has 2 scars on his left wrist occasioned by the bite of a Dog and also has a scar near the last Joint of his thumb on his right hand about 44 years of age is the Identical person manumitted by him on this 12.th day of June 1809 In Testimony whereof &.c this 12.th day of June 1809 (seal) Jacob Loockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot County to wit: I hereby certify that Mr Jonathan Spencer of the County & State afsd came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto man who calls himself Samuel Bromwell and who is now about thirty eight years of age five feet eight inches and a quarter of an inch high and without any notable scars is the identical person named Samuel in a manumission made by a certain Richard Spencer of the County & State afsd on the thirtieth of May eighteen hundred and five to be free from the date thereof which said manumission was duly executed and enrolled among the Land Records of Talbot County afsd where the said Sam.l was raised In Testimony &c this 11th Feby 1812 JLoockerman Cl
that the bearer hereof Negro Sam alias Samuel Perkins was born free and raised in the County and State afsd the said Sam alias Samuel Perkins was nineteen years of age on the tenth day of april last of a very bright complexion |
