Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify that M.rs
Rebecca Cox of the County &
State afs.d came and proved to
my Satisfaction that the bearer hereof (negro
Richard alias Rich.d Smith who is now about
21 years of age 5 feet 5¾ in high of a black
complexion has one scar in his forehead partly ^near^
the edge of the hair one other other scar ^partly^ on the
^partly on th^ top of his left Wrist said to have been occasioned by a
burn) was Born free and raised in the County
and State afs.d
                         In Testimony &.c this 11.th day of Aug.t
                         1811

Banning of the County & State afs.d
came & proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
(negro Diana alias Diana Tender who is now about
50 years of age 5 feet 2½ inches high of a black
Complexion has no noteable marks or scars) was is
the identical person Manumitted and set free
by his father m.r Henry Banning of the
County afs.d
                         In Testimony whereof &.c this 15.th
                         day of August 1814

Lydia Crouch of the
County & state afs.d came
and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
(Negro Sylry alias Sylvy Tender who is now
about 20 years of age 5 feet 2¾ inches high
of a Dark Complexion has one scar about an
inch in length & about 3½ inches above the joint
of the left wrist directly on the top of the arm has
no other remarkable scars or marks) was born
free & raised in the County afs.d
