                        Negro Jacob

State of Maryland Harford County to wit
    I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof Negro
Jacob (who calls himself Jacob Shields) five feet
five ^Ten^ Inches high about thirty nine Years old
with a scar about three quarters of an Inch long
on his forehead above the right eye and of a
dark complexion and pleasant countenance
free in the Year 1823 by virtue of a deed of
manumission made by John Eivey of Harford
County duly Executed on the tenth day of
March Eighteen hundred and thirteen &
recorded amongst the land records of Harford
County Court and the said Negro Jacob was
raised in said County      In Testimony whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
seal of my office this fifteenth day of March
              in the Year of our Lord One thousand
(Se)       Eight hundred and twenty Eight

Identified by the oath                  Harf.d Coy Court
of the Honb.l Stevenson Archer


                Negro Charlotte

State of Maryland Harford County (to wit)
    I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof Negro Charlotte
five feet five and a half inches high about thirty nine
years old of a yellow complexion with a scarr on
the top of the left arm a little above the Elbow
and a scarr on the right Elbow Joint on the under
Joint side of the arm became free by virtue of a
manumission Executed ^by Pamelia Wilson^ on the 18.th day of November
1822 & recorded amongst the land records of Harford
County Court and the said Charlotte was raised in
