having a horizontal scar about an inch in length upon his right
cheek bone two scars upon the end of his chin an indented scar
upon the inner side of his left leg below the calf a scar upon
the front of his right leg just above the ancle and a scar upon
the upper part of his right arm near the ^elbow^ joint was born free
and raised in Harford County aforesaid  In Testimony
whereof I hereto Set my hand and affix the seal of my
Office on this First day of October Anno Domini
Eighteen hundred and Twenty two

                   Negro Milkey or Milcah

State of Maryland  Harford County Sct:
             I hereby certify that Negro Milkey or Milcah the
bearer hereof aged about Thirty Nine Years of a  dark
Yellow ^or copper colored^ complexion five feet two and a half inches high having
a scar about three fourths of an inch in length about midway
between and just above her eyebrows stoutly made became free
on the Twenty Sixth day of may in the year   Eighteen hundred
and ^ten^ by virtue of a deed of manumission executed by
Edward Prigg on the day aforesaid and recorded ^was recorded among the land records of Harford County Court^ on the thirteenth
day of June in the Year aforesaid  In Testimony whereof I
hereto Set my hand and affix the seal of my Office on this
Twelfth day of October ^in the year of our Lord one thousand^ Eighteen hundred and twenty two

                            Negro Samuel

State of Maryland Harford County Sct:
             I hereby certify that negro Samuel the bearer hereof aged
about Twenty Six or twenty Seven years five feet eight and three
fourths inches high of a black complexion has a large nose and
wide nostrils was born and raised in Harford County and became
