                                     Negro Esther

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
             I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Esther five feet
five and an half inches high forty six years of age of a dark
complexion became free on the seventh day of July Eighteen
hundred and fourteen in virtue of a deed of manumission
made by John Rumsey of said County and duly executed and
recorded amongst the land records of Harford County Court
          The said negro Esther has a scar on her left wrist ^a number of^ one
other ^small scar^ on her right arm and a scar extending from her
right foot to the knee and was raised in the county
aforesaid         Intestimony whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and affixed the seal of my office this twenty third
day of June Eighteen hundred and twenty one

                                  Negro Shadrack

State of Maryland Harford County To wit
I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Shadrack five feet ten & ½
Inches high thirty one years of age on the first day of January
Eighteen hundred and twenty ^two^ became free on the first day of January
Eighteen hundred and two by virtue of a deed of manumission
made by William Wilson of said County duly Executed and recorded
amongst the Land records of Harford County Court on the second
day of April Eighteen hundred and sixteen the first joint
of the little finger on the left hand of the said Shadrack
is stiff his eyes are full and prominent he is bald in his
Carriage straight and erect his Complexion is black  he was
raised in Harford County   In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affixed the seal of my office this fourth day
of February Eighteen hundred and twenty two
