40)                     Negro Ben

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
             I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Ben five feet
feet six and an half inches high about twenty four years of age
of a black complexion round full face has a scar on the lower
part of the calf on his left leg pleasant countenance was
born free and raised in the County aforesaid    In testimony whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office
this tenth day of September Eighteen hundred and Eleven

                               Mulattoe Hannah

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Mulattoe Hannah
five feet one and an half inches high about twenty eight
years of age of a yellow complexion and became free on
the tenth day of June Eighteen hundred and eleven in virtue
of a deed of manumission made by Rachel Price of
the County aforesaid and duly executed and recorded
    The said Hannah has a scar on the finger next to the
small finger and another scar on the fore finger near
the first joint next to the hand has a lump on the
left wrist is square made and has a wart on the middle
joint of the middle finger on the right hand and was
raised in the county aforesaid   In testimony whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my
office this Sixteenth day of September Eighteen hundred
and Eleven                           Henry Dorsey Clk
