thick lips pleasant countenance when spoken to square
made has a scar on the right side of his head also
one on ^the^ little finger of the left hand near the middle one
other on the left hand near the third joint of the fore finger
and one other on between the second & third joints of the
fore finger on the left hand and one other on the wrist
of the right hand one other on the ancle bone and of the
right leg and other ^one^ other on the right foot near
the great toe was born free and was raised in
the County aforesaid   In testimony whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office
this twentieth day of May Eighteen hundred and Eleven

                               Negro Philip

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
       I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Philip five feet
six inches high about nineteen years of age marked with the small
pox pleasant countenance when spoken to was born free
    The said negro Philip has a scar on the left foot ^about^ near
^two inches from^ the ancle bone ^and another on the bottom of his right foot^ and was raised in Baltimore County
    In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the seal of my office this fourth day of June in the year
Eighteen hundred and Eleven

                               Negro Peter

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
       I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Peter
five feet six and one quarter inches high about seventeen
years of age good pleasant countenance thick lips
was born free   The said negro Peter has the following
scars to wit one on the left thumb near to ^on^ the joint
which ^is next^ connects it to the hand one other on the fore
finger near the hand and another on the top of his
