                               Negro Tobey                                         (31

State of Maryland   Harford County to wit
       I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Tobey five feet
nine inches high about thirty years of age of a black jet
complexion became free on the first day of January in
the year Eighteen hundred and five by virtue of a deed of
Manumission made by John Bull of said County and duly
executed and recorded   The said negro Tobey has one scar
over the left eye brow and another on the forehead square
made bow legged and has a good countenance
and was raised in the county aforesaid      In Testimony
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal
of my Office this twenty fourth day of April Eighteen
hundred and ten

                         Mulattoe Edward Wall

State of Maryland    Harford County to wit
       I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Edward Wall a
Mulattoe five feet nine & one half inches high about thirty six
years of age of a bright yellow complexion became free on the
twenty fifth day of July in the year Seventeen hundred and ninety
four by virtue of a deed of manumission made by William
Cox of said County and duly executed and recorded  The
said Edward Wall has a scar near the mouth on the left
side thereof and was raised in the County aforesaid   In
testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
seal of my Office this ninth day of May Eighteen hundred
and ten                                 Henry Dorsey clk
