Moses Anderson Maryland Harford County to wit: I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro Moses Anderson aged about fifty years of dark complexion five feet 11 inches high a scar across his right hand between the thumb & fore finger a hole in the right arm occasioned by the breaking of a muscle is the son of Negro Nelly Anderson a free woman of colour & that said Moses was born free & is now free In Testimony whereof &C 24th June 1842 Henry Dorsey Clk Negro Matilda Brooks Maryland Harford County to wit: I hereby certify that the bearer hereof ^Negro^ Matilda Brooks aged ^about^ twenty five years of dark complexion about five feet two inches and a half high with a large indistinct scar on the left cheek caused by a burn & two small scars one above and the other ^below^ above the right eye ^was born free and^ is the daughter of Negro Violet who was manumitted by Daniel Moores and was born free In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of Harford County Court this 6th day of September 1842 Henry Dorsey Clk Identified by George W Bradford Negro Charles Lee Cato Brooks Maryland Harford County to wit: I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro charles Lee Cato Brooks aged about twenty one years of dark ashy ^very dark^ complexion about five feet ten inches high with a scar in the inside of his elbow caused by a burn was born free and is the son of negro Violet who was manumitted by Daniel Moores In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of Harford County Court this 6.th day of September 1842 Identified by Geo W.
