22)                        Negro Ben Rhoades

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
                                                                   I hereby certify
that the bearer hereof Negro Benjamin Rhoades
five feet six and three quarter Inches high   Thirty
seven years of age of a yellow complexion became
free on the ninth day of February in the year
Eighteen hundred and eight in virtue of a Deed
of Manumission made by Edward Griffith of
said County and duly Executed and Recorded
    The said negro Benjamin has a scar on his forehead
just above the left eye brow   and a small
scar on his chin and is lame in his right hip
The said and was raised in the county aforesaid
       In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and affixed the seal of the county aforesaid
this twenty ninth day of February Eighteen hundred
and eight                     Henry Dorsey Clk

State of Maryland   Harford County to wit
                                                                   I hereby certify
that the bearer hereof Negro David five feet ten and
an half Inches high about forty six seven or eight
years of age of a black complexion  became
free on this sixteenth ^ninth^ day of May seventeen ^June Eighteen^ hundred
and sixty four ^Eight^ in virtue of a Deed of manumission
made by William Wilson of the said county
and duly Executed and recorded
    The said Negro David has a scar on his chin
his head ^hair^ grey and was raised in the county afs.d
In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and
affixed the seal of the county aforesaid this ninth day
of June Eighteen hundred and Eight
