twenty six years of age dark complexion about five feet eight
inches high a scar on the left leg and ^another on^ the left great toe produced by
cuts another on the right foot and toes produced by a burn when
a child and the forefinger of the right hand scared and somewhat
bent from a cut became free in virtue of a Deed of Manumission
from Elizabeth Johnson duly executed bearing date
the fifteenth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty five
and recorded in Liber H. D. No 18 folio 243 one of the Land Record
Books of Harford County Court
                         In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my
                         name and affix the Seal of Harford County Court
                         this 20th day of September 1838

                         Negro Harriet Daviz

State of Maryland Harford County Sc.t
             I hereby certify that the bearer of this Negro Harriet Daviz
aged about fifty years of age black and five feet one inch
high became free waz ^raised in Harford County and^ born free
             In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my
             name and affixed the Seal of Harford County Court this
             3.d day of June 1839                  Henry Dorsey Clk

State of Maryland Harford County Sc.t
             I hereby certify that the bearer of this Negro Betsy Daviz
aged about thirty six years black and five feet half an inch
high waz raised in Harford County aforesaid and was born free
          In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name
          and affix the Seal of Harford Court this 3.d day of June 1839
