                    Negro Hester

Maryland Harford County To wit
             I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof
Negro Hester aged about thirty eight years and yellow
Complexion five feet one inch high and has a
scar on the left ar elbow occasioned by a burn
also has a small scar on the wrist of the said ^same^
arm Said Negro became free by virtue of a
deed of Manumission executed by Rebecca
Howard on the seventeenth day of November
Eighteen hundred and twenty and Recorded in
Liber H D No 4 folio 407 one of the land Record
Books of Harford County COurt
                In Testimony whereof I hereto set my
                hand and affixed the seal of Harford County
                Court this 10th day of July 1833

                      Negro Thomas Chambers

Maryland Harford County Sct
                      I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro Thomas
Chambers about twenty one years of age black complexion five
feet six inches high very large and thick lips has a sar
on the left little finger near the upper Joint and a scar on the
forefinger near the upper Joint on the same hand was born
free and raised in Harford County
                   In Testimony whereof I have hereto subscribed
                   my name and affixed the seal of Harford
                   County Court this twenty fifth day of July
                   Eighteen hundred and thirty three
