210 State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I hereby certify that a certain negro man Peter now about Twenty six years old light complexion has a dark spot about the size of the end of his thum on the front or upper part of his left thigh also a large scar on the front of his right leg five feet six Inches in hight well or thickly made was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain Philemon Spencer dated the 19th day of June 1828 and admitted to probate in my Office July 8th 1828 His freedom to commence at the Expiration of the Year 1842 his person Identified by the evidence of a certain Aquilla Starr In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my Office This 5th day of May 1843 Lemuel Roberts Regr Wills (Seal) for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I do hereby Certify that a Certain Negro man Henry aged about thirty six Years Five feet five and a quarter Inches high light Complexion and is Cross Eyed was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Ann Pratt dated on the 1st day of June 1833 and admitted to probat in my Office on the 20th day of July of the same Year his freedom to Commence Eight Years after the above date which is June or July 1841 His person Identified by the evidence of Madison Brown |
