State of Maryland Queen Anns County ss to wit
       I hereby certify that a certain Negro man named Frisby now about
26 Years of age his complexion black dark complexion has a scar
on his breast six feet and One Inch in height very spare was
manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a
certain William Hemsley dated on the seventh day of May 1821 and
Admitted to probat in my Office November the 19.th 1825 his freedom
to commence in the year 1842 his person Identified by the evidence
of a certain William Hemsley            8422            10      20
                      In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and
                      affixed the seal of my Office this 27.th day of December
                      ^in the^ Anno Domini 1843      Cert P Tho C Earle Reg
                                                                            for Q Ann County
