196 Maryland Queen Anns County ss I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Harriett aged twenty eight years in may last five feet one & ⅛ Inches high and of black Complexion was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain John Smith late of Queen Anns County dec.d duly executed on the 10 day of 1823 and admitted to probat in my office on the 31 July 1824 her freedom to commence on the 10 May 1839 and her person being identified by a certain Bennett Downes In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name [Seal] and affixed the seal of my office this 7 day of June 1839 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I certify that a certain negro woman named Hester aged about twenty seven years of a brown complection has one scar on her left year and is 5 feet 2 Inches and a quarter high was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Benjamin Blunt late of said County deceased duly executed on the 16.th day of Sep.t 1811 and admitted to probat in my office on the 22.d of October 1811 her freedom to commence from 1.st January 1837 and her person identified by Benjamin Legg In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my [Seal] name and affixed the seal of my office this 26 day of Sep.t 1839 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Charity now about thirty two years of age 5 feet 2¾ Inches high of Dark Complexion and has an ugly scar on her right ancle was manumitted and set free by the last |
