192 manumitted & set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Arthur Emory late of said County dec.d dated the 7 day of Sept.r 1792 and admitted to Probat in my office the 18 Sep.t 1801 her freedom to commence on the 25 Dec.r 1820 and her person being identified by a certain Arthur W Emory In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name [Seal] and affixed the seal of my office this 4 day of Dec.r 1838 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I certify that a certain negro man named Paris aged about twenty Eight years of a brown Complexion has a scar on his left Cheek and an upper piece out of his right year and and five feet 7 Inches high was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Catherine Bruff late of said County dec.d duly executed on the day of august in the year 1820 and admitted to probat in my office on the 27 Feby 1822 his freedom to commence on the 1.st august 1834 and his person being identified by the certificate of a certain John Reese In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my [Seal} name and affixed the seal of my office this 5 day of Nov.r 1838 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County ss I certify that a certain negro woman named Lucy otherwise called Lucy Gooby about forty seven years of age five feet high of a dark Complexion has a large mole on her right breast and a scar on her right arm was manumitted & set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Arthur Emory late of Q Anns County dec.d dated the 8.th day of March 1807 and admitted to probat |
