189 and her age proved by a certain Arthur Carter to be the daughter of the said Negro Girl Till manumitted and set free by the said Testatrix In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my [Seal] name and affixed the public Seal of my office this 28.th day of Dec.r 1837 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County State of maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain Negro man named Henry now about 20 years of age five feet 7¼ Inches in height rather Slender made has a remarkable scar on his left Cheek extending across the nose down to the mouth his complexion not very black was set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Benjamin Blunt duly executed on the 16.th day of September 1811 and admitted to probate on 22 day of October 1811 His freedom to take place in 25 years from the 1.st day of Janry 1812 his person identified by a certain Jonathan Evans In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my [Seal] name and affixed the seal of my office this 22.d day of March Anno Domini 1838 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I certify that a certain Negro man named Alexander aged thirty years in May last of a yellow Complexion and five feet nine and a half Inches high has a scar on his left rist and also a large scar on his left arm and was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Elizabeth Harriss late of said County dec.d duly executed on the 16 May 1814 ^and admitted to probat in my office on the 16 May 1814^ his freedom to commence from the 16 May 1837 and his person having been identified by the Oath of a certain Margaret Wilmer |
