forty two years of age five feet four Inches in height dark complexion
the middle finger of her right hand injured a long scar on her left
arm near the wrist & a scar on her left cheek was manumitted and
set freed by the last will and testament of a certain Susan Sudler
duly executed on the 17 day of October and proved on the 19th day
of December 1807  Her freedom to commence when she shall have
attained the age of twenty six years  Her person identified by the
Oath of a certain James Downing.  Given under my hand and
                        the seal of my office this 11 day of June Anno

State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                      I hereby certify that a certain
negro man named Phaton now about thirty
one years of age five feet five inches and five
eighths of an inches in height his person stout and
well set has a very large flat nose his complexion
black has a small scar on his forehead two inches
or more above his left eye and a large scar on his
head was manumitted and set free by the last will
& Testament of a certain Elizabeth Harris duly executed
on the seventh day of April and proved in my
Office on the sixteenth day of May in the year 1814
His freedom to commence when he shall have attained
to the age of thirty years.  His person identified by
the Oath of a certain Cap Henry Wilmer   Given
under my hand & the seal of my Office this 3d day
                               of January Eighteen hundred
    [Seal]                  & thirty three
