148 from her birth her person short and thick & a broad flat nose was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain Edwd Downes duly executed on the 30th day of October and proved in my office on the 13th day of Dec in the year 1796 Her freedom to commence when she shall have arrived at the age of Eighteen years. Her person identified by the Oath of a certain Doct Charles Downes Given under my hand and the seal of my office this 11.th day of May Anno Domini 1832 [seal] Tho C Earle Rr Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Hannah now about thirty five years of age five feet one Inch & a half in heigth her complexion on the yellowish order her person rather delicate has a large scar on her left arm between the wrist and elbow & another small scar on the same arm just above the elbow was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain Daniel Weedon duly executed on the 29th day of Oct and proved on the 29.th day of November 1797 by that clause of his will which disposes of the residue of his estate. Her freedom to commence when she shall have attained the age of thirty five years Her person was identified by the Oaths of a certain Elizabeth Sneed & Henry Weedon also by the certificate of one John Weedon Given under my hand and |
