146 State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I hereby certify that a mulatto woman named Selina now about twenty four years of age five feet two and a half inches in height slender delicate form a mole on her right arm near the elbow joint a very small scar near the centre of her right eye brow & a mole on the inside of her right hand on the thick part of her thumb was manumitted and set free by the following clause in the will of the late Richd Tilghman decd duly executed on the 12.th day of September Eighteen hundred and nine and proved in my office on the 13.th day of November Eighteen hundred and ten that is to say " I hereby give liberty to and manumit and at freedom set my woman named Clare and all her children and a boy named Bob. The said woman Selina is known to the Register. Given under my hand and the seal of my office this 8.th day of May Eighteen [seal] hundred and thirty two Tho C Earle Rr Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that ^a^ negro woman Caroline now about thirty two years of age five feet six inches in height complexion black a small scar on the right side of her neck just below her right ear & a scar on her right leg a little below the knee joint was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain Thomas |
