    State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                      I hereby certify that a certain negro
man named Robert who calls himself Robert
Rawlings aged about 31 years five feet 8 Inches in
heigth very black high forehead & has a scar on the
inside of his right arm directly across the bend of
the elbow was manumitted and set free by the will
of a certain Elizabeth Harris duly executed on the 7th
day of April and proved in my office on the 16 day
of May 1814   His freedom to commence when he
shall have attained to the full age of thirty years   His
person was identified by the Oath of a certain George
Palmer Sen.r   Given under my hand and the seal of
                               my Office this 8.th day of July
                               Anno Domini 1831

       NB   The impression was in white letter paper &
attached to the certificate by a pink tape
