a rather light complexion      Sarah A E is four feet eight
& a half inches high with a small scar on the left wrist
of a light complexion

Maryland Kent County        This is to certify that a negro
boy now present named Benjamin Hacket otherwise
called Benjamin Freeman and applying for a certificate
of freedom was born of a free woman and raised
in Kent County and is now twenty seven years of age
April 21s 1855                                 John D Welch
Benj is five feet seven and three quarter inches high of
a black complexion
    Filed and recorded on the 21s day of April 1855 and

I hereby certify that Daniel Geddiss the bearer hereof was
born of a free woman and raised in Kent County
Witness my hand this 27 April 18585

    Daniel is five feet seven & three quarter inches high
with a scar on the right thumb         of a light complexion
about forty eight years of age
    Filed and recorded on the 27 day of April 1855 and

To the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Kent County
    I hereby certify that Thomas Carmichael (fn) who is
now present and applying for a certificate of freedom
was free born and is now about twenty four years of
age  and that the said Thomas was raised in Kent County
May 22nd 1855                        Anna M L Earle
Thomas is five feet six & a half inches of a black complexion
Filed and recorded on the 22nd day of May 1855 & certificate
