To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County   This
is to certify that a negro man now present named
Edward Graves and applying for a certificate of freedom
was born of a free woman and raised in Kent
County and is now about twenty one years of age

    Jos N Gordon Jr                   December 26 1854
    Edward Graves is five feet nine & a half inches high
of a dark complexion
    Filed and recorded on the 26 day of December 1854 and

To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
    I hereby certify that William, Henry Boyer who is now
present & applying for a certificate of freedom was free
born and raised in Kent County and is now about
twenty one years of age
Jany 1st 1855                              A W Sparks
    Wm Henry Boyer is five feet three and one half
inches high light complexion
Filed and recorded on the 1s day of January 1855 and

To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County   This
is to certify a negro man named John now present
and applying for a certificate of freedom is the identical
negro man mentioned in a manumission by the name
of John executed by me on the 13 day of March 1836 to be
free on the first day of January 1855

John is five feet four & a quarter inches high of a
light complexion                  Filed and recorded on
