To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby
certify that Henry Blake who is now present & applying
for a certificate of freedom was free born and raised in
Kent County and is now about twenty six years of age
May 11   1852                                 S W Canady
Henry is five feet five inches high light complexion
Filed and recorded on the 11 day of May 1852 and certificate

    I hereby certify that Jacob Johnson the bearer hereof is
the son of Silly or Agnes purchased by my Father of Richard
S Thomas Estate and that by a manumission of Richard S
Thomas to his negroes the children of his female servants
were to be free at twenty one years of age Jacob is the child
of one of his servants and was raised in Kent County and
got free at twenty one from my Fathers estate
Witness my hand this            day of March 1852  John C Edwards

Jacob is five feet eight and one quarter inches high black
complexion scar on the forefinger of the left hand and
is about twenty eight years old
Filed and recorded on the 31 day of May 1852 and certificate

I hereby certify that Perry Barroll free negro now present
and applying for a certificate of freedom is the identical person
who is named and described in a manumission made by
Samuel Merritt late of Kent County deceased bearing date on
the 18 day of April 1840 and recorded in Liber J N G N.o 3 pages
211 & 212                                       Edwd Wilkins
Said negro is five feet and a half inches high being of a dark
complexion        Filed & recorded on the 3d day of June 1852 and
