159 John is 5 ft 9½ inches high dark complexion with a scar over the right eye and one on the left thumb Filed recorded & Certificate issued March 31.st 1860 By Jesse K Hines, Clerk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby Certify that a negro woman now present and applying for a Certificate of freedom named Jane Elizabeth Trusty was born free and raised in Kent County and is now in her 18th year of age April 2.nd 1860 Harriett R Tomlinson Jane is 5 ft 1 inch high of dark complexion with small scar on back of right hand filed recorded & Certificate issued April 2.d 1860 By Jesse K Hines Clerk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby Certify that a negro woman now present and applying for a Certificate of freedom named Catharine Blake is the Identical negro by that name in a Deed of manumission from from Ann Perkins to the said negro on the 28 day of January 1847 and recorded in Liber J N. G. No 4 pages 73 &c one of the Chattle record Books of the Circuit Court for Kent County and was at the said time about 30 years old April 3.d 1860 E. F. Perkins Catharine is 4 feet 11 inches high light complexion and about 43 years old Filed recorded & Certificate issued April 3.d 1860 By Jesse K Hines Clerk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby certify that a Negro Woman named Clara Freeman who is now present and applying for a certificate of freedom was born free and raised in Kent County and is now about 30 years old |
