158 To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby Certify that a negro man now present and applying for a Certificate of freedom named Geo Myeres was born of a free woman and raised in Kent County and is five feet ten inches high of a dark complexion and about 29 years old There was a Certificate of freedom issued to him may 24th 1856 which he makes oath was burnt in the December in the Year 1858 by accident George N Hines march 31 1860 Filed recorded & Certificate issued march 31 1860 By Jesse K Hines Clk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby Certify that a negro Woman now present and applying for a Certificate of freedom named Mary Tilghman is the Identical Woman who is mentioned in a Deed of Manumission from Geo W Thomas Extor of William Thomas dated the third day of January 1828 to sundry negroes by the name of Mary to be free on the first day of January 1843 who is the daughter of Eliza which is recorded in Liber T. W. No 3 pages 843 845 845 & 846 one of the Chattle records for Kent County and is now about 43 years old march 31.st 1860 Julliana Constable Mary is 5 ft 6 inches high dark complexion Filed recorded & Certificate issued March 31 1860 By Jesse K Hines Clk To the Clerk Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby Certify that a Negro man now present and applying for a Certificate of freedom named John Groome was born free and raised in Kent County and is now about 23 years old March 31 1860 E.
