       To the Clerk Circuit Court for Kent County
I hereby Certify that a negro man now present
and applying for a certificate of freedom named
Wm Thomas Stewart was born free and raised
in Kent County and now about 21 years old
       Decr 30th 1859               James Graves
William is 5 feet 8 inches high of Light complexion
with a small scar on his nose
Filed recorded & Certificate issued 20th Decr 1859

To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
       I hereby Certify that a negro woman now present
named Rachel Bersey is the Identical Woman
mentioned in a deed of manumission by the name
of Rachel Sampson the said deed of manumission
was executed by Lavinia Hanson on the the 21st day
day of February 1842 and recorded in Liber J.N.G.
No 3 one of the Chattle records for Kent County
       February 25 1860               Peregrine Wroth
Rachael is 5 feet 1½ inches age about 53 years
of a Yellow Complexion

Richard J Anderson was born free and raised
in Kent County and is now about 22 years old
    March 1st 1860              Henry M Rollison
    Richard is 5 feet 8 inches high of Dark complexion
with small scar on left temple
